Vientiane, December 2023. The Cultural Festival was held at the National University of Laos (NUOL), an annual event that has become a celebration of musical traditions, customs, and distinctive elements of different peoples, while at the same time paying tribute to friendship and fraternity among the nations of the world.
Among the nine languages taught at NUOL, reflected in present countries such as China, Cambodia, Laos, South Korea, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and Vietnam, Cuba had an active performance, represented by the work of the Cuban professor who serves teaching the Spanish language in the Faculty of Letters and his students, who exhibited different typical costumes and symbolic elements of Spanish-speaking cultures, as well as the exhibition of our creole bata and guayabera, in addition to the well-known and varied typical dishes of the Cuban culinary tradition, tasted by the participants.
Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant Valdés attended the event, on which occasion she extended recognition on the Day of the Educator celebrated in Cuba, to Professor Luis Mario Rosabal for his laudable work in training young people on the university campus where he works.
The event was actively chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Letters, Mr. Thongsouk Keomany, accompanied by Vice-Deans and professors of the prestigious and high university teaching center of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
