Cuba present at Night of Solidarity with Venezuela in Accra

The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba to Ghana, Julio César Sánchez Martínez, participated in an activity of solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jorge Arreaza and organized by the Socialist Forum of Ghana, at its headquarters of the Freedom Center.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, who is visiting Ghana, explained how his country is the object of a war of destabilization promoted by the US government, which aims to destroy the popular revolution begun in 1999 with the electoral victory of the late Comandante Hugo Chávez Frías, as well as the efforts of the current leadership headed by President Nicolás Maduro to maintain the legacy of the founder of the Bolivarian Republic.

Mr. Kwesi Pratt, leader of the Socialist Forum of Ghana, gave to the Minister of Foreign Affairs a frame with a picture of the first President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

The organizations and personalities that make up the Socialist Forum of Ghana, as well as representatives of the Embassies of Algeria, Angola, Democratic Sahrawi Arab Republic, Palestine, Islamic Republic of Iran, and Cuba, were present at the event, and expressing their solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution.

The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba highlighted the historical ties between Cuba and Venezuela, the friendship that united the eternal Commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, and the Cuban solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
