Cuba present at the opening of the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince and Supreme Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces, opened the Special Olympics World Games in a colorful ceremony that took place at the Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi.

The Cuban delegation was widely applauded upon entering the stadium to parade with athletes from more than 190 participating nations and received ample sympathy, admiration and respect from the public and all those present that were broadcast on the screens inside and outside the stadium .

The opening ceremony had its climax with the lighting of the cauldron with the flames of the torch of hope that came from Athens and toured the seven emirates of the country.
