Cuba is present at the Sydney Film Festival

Canberra, June 10, 2010. From June 5 to 16, more than 250 cinematographic works including films, shorts films and documentaries will be presented at the Film Festival of the Australian city of Sydney.

On this occasion, lovers of the big screen will have the opportunity to enjoy a small sample of Cuban cinema, with the projection of the biographical drama "Yuli", inspired by the life of the renowned Cuban ballet dancer, Carlos Acosta, and the comedy  of fiction "The extraordinary journey of Celeste García", a debut feature from Cuban director Arturo Infante Vieiro.

The Sydney Film Festival is held with the support of the New South Wales government and the federal government of Australia.  This year, a group of 12 selected films will integrate the official competition, whose results will be announced at the closing gala.
