Cuba present at the Thai Silk international fashion week in Thailand

Cuba's first historic participation at the Thai Silk international fashion week (Bangkok, Thailand, 18-22/11/2019) took place on Monday, November 18th, 2019.

Renowned Cuban fashion designer Oscar de la Portilla unveiled a very special collection with painted fabrics using a hand-stamped technique. The designer's art portrayed an excellent piece of Cuban Culture, inspired in the Thai National Flower and Cuba's typical decorations to showcase the longstanding friendship between the two countries.

The event , with displays from 78 countries, was attended by representatives of Thai institutions, joint cooperation projects, the diplomatic corps, Thai society and Cuban residents in Thailand.
