Cuba present at the World Government Summit in Dubai

The seventh World Summit of the Government (WGS 2019), held from 10 to 12 March, sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Governor of Dubai, was attended by more than 4,000 government officials. high level of 140 countries, heads of state and government, 30 international organizations and businessmen who analyzed and debated about the future of the world with emerging needs.

 

The Cuban delegation, chaired by the vice minister of the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba, Aurora Fernández González and integrated by Fermando Montenegro Morán, made a presentation at the Round Table, on the advanced skills of university graduates, to better respond to the labor market, which received a wide reception from the delegations present.

 

Most of the participants were very pleasantly surprised to learn about the progress made in Cuba and were interested in our priorities, results, indicators, preparation for employment in order to consolidate skills, the responsibility of the Central Administration of the State, overcoming throughout life, etc.

 

The head of the Cuban mission in the United Arab Emirates, Jorge León Cruz, had the gratification of sharing with the Cuban delegation, as well as with the president of Prensa Latina, who participated in this important international event where they presented some 600 speakers in more than 200 interactive sessions on vital sectors that will shape the future of humanity, from climate change and fiscal policy to innovations in government services and post-conflict social reconciliation.
