Helsinki, January 29, 2024.- During the official activities carried out in the Republic of Latvia, the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, greeted President Edgars Rinkevičs, to whom she conveyed a New Year message on behalf of the people and Government of the Republic of Cuba.
In the exchange, the Cuban diplomat shared her best wishes for the people and Government of Latvia in 2024, and the intention to continue strengthening bilateral ties.
Cuba also participated in the celebrations for the 103rd Anniversary of the International Recognition of Latvia as a nation and took part in meetings with other authorities of the country -to whom she thanked for supporting Cuba against the US embargo- as well as events organized in the Parliament.
