Kingston, Jamaica, 25 November 2019. This afternoon, the staff of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica paid due tribute to the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the third anniversary of his death.
In the simple tribute, those present reaffirmed their commitment to defend Fidel's ideas and turn them into reality; to follow his example and continue the work he initiated and led.
Staff members at the diplomatic mission remembered with emotion the prophetic phrase pronounced by Fidel's brother, Raúl Castro, in the early days of the Revolution, when he said: «Fidel is wherever one works; Fidel is spiritually present wherever the Revolution moves forward. Fidel is wherever an intrigue is destroyed, wherever a Cuban is working honestly, wherever a Cuban, no matter who may be, is doing good. Wherever a Cuban, no matter who may be, is defending the Revolution, Fidel will be there.»
