Cuba seeks business opportunities with Indonesia

Cuba participated in the first Indonesia - Latin America Business Forum (INA-LAC Forum), held on October 14 and 15 in Tangerang, Indonesia. The Caribbean island was represented by the company Labiofam Asia S.A and the Embassy of Cuba in Indonesia.

The event was attended by around 200 representatives of Indonesian companies and countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. The Forum was opened by the Indonesian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdurrachman M. Fachir.

The Cuban delegation held an intense exchange with Indonesian companies from different sectors in the search for business opportunities and options for investment in our country. During the interviews, in addition, Indonesian counterparts received an update of the legal framework for foreign investment in Cuba, as well as the extraterritorial effects of the US blockade policy against our country.

The event program also included a visit to the PT paper mill. INDAH KIAT belonging to the Sinar Mas group, one of the world leaders in pulp and paper production.
