Cuba takes part in the “Walk the Talk” event organized by the WHO in Geneva

Geneva, May 17, 2026. On the eve of the opening of the 79th World Health Assembly, the World Health Organization and the authorities of this Swiss city organized a popular walk under the slogan “Walk the Talk,” with the participation of representatives from more than 100 countries, including Cuba.

The Cuban representation at the event was headed by First Deputy Minister of Public Health Tania Margarita Cruz Hernández, who also leads the Cuban delegation to the World Health Assembly.

The walk, which covered several kilometers from the Palais des Nations to the WHO headquarters, aimed to promote health for all and healthier lifestyles, particularly physical activity, as part of a sustainable healthy future.
