Cuba-Türkiye working meeting for health.

The First Deputy Minister of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Tania Margarita Cruz Hernandez, together with the Deputy to the ANPP and First Vice President of BioCubafarma Eulogio Pimentel and officials of the Cuban Embassy in Türkiye, held a bilateral exchange with the Minister of Health of Türkiye Prof. Dr. Kemal Memisoglu, who was accompanied by Dr. Halim Ozcevik, Deputy Minister of Health; Dr. Aziz Alper Biten, Director of the Cuban Embassy in Türkiye. Aziz Alper Biten, Director General for Foreign Affairs; Prof. Dr. Umit Kervan, President of the Institutes of Health (TUSEB); Abdullah Sert, Head of the Foreign Relations Department; and Behlul Unver, Director General of the International Health Services Company (USHAS). The meeting took place within the framework of the 10th World Health Congress, held in Istanbul on 15-16 November.

The meeting constituted the celebration of the First Session of the Binational Working Group for Health Cuba - Turkey, which addressed issues related to emergency and disaster medicine, digital transformation and cooperation in health; as well as highlighted the development of Cuban biotechnology and its leading products for the treatment of cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular, diabetic foot treatment and vascular diseases, as well as bilateral cooperation actions in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical sphere.

Likewise, voluntary working meetings were held with hollow businessmen linked to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.
