Cuba will host International Anti-Racist Conference in 2026

Havana, December 29, 2025. The Ministry of Culture and the National Program against Racism and Discrimination convened this Sunday the International Conference on Anti-Racist Thoughts and Actions, which will be held in October 2026. The event will bring together professionals from the sciences, arts and politics; to governments, social movements and non-governmental organizations in Havana and the province of Artemisa, from the 11th to the 13th of that month.

The Day of Indigenous Resistance, October 12, and the Day of Cuban Culture will be the appropriate setting for the event, which will commemorate the centenary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and the first decade of his physical disappearance.

Those attending the event will debate the origin of theories of racism, political manipulation and sociocultural reconstruction of the concept of races, struggles for equality and other lines linked to the topic.
