Cuba at the World Anthems Concert in Uganda

Kampala. On the afternoon of October 31, 2023 at the University of Makarere, Cuba was represented at the World Anthems Concert in commemoration of United Nations Day in Uganda convened by the Resident Coordinator of that organization in the African country.

The graduate in Cuba and current professor at that centre of higher education, Mrs. Abius Tushemerirwe, shared with those present the history and values of the Cuban National Anthem, before it was sung by the choir that presided over the event.

The passion and eloquence of Ms. Tushemerirwe, who graduated in Cuba in 2015, is an example of how much the island means in the personal and professional lives of those who graduate in the largest of the Antilles
