Harare, June 5, 2025 - The Cuban Ambassador, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa, held working meetings with officials from Zimbabwe's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade to follow up on issues on the bilateral agenda. The Head of the Cuban diplomatic mission exchanged views with the Deputy Director General for Europe and the Americas, Charles Chishiri, on political priorities and various economic projects. She updated the also Director of the Department of the Americas on the United States administration's measures against Cuba, which go beyond the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed more than 60 years ago, as well as its inclusion on the spurious list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism. Chishiri, for his part, conveyed Zimbabwe's traditional support for the fight against the blockade and unilateral coercive measures, the imposition of which also affects this African country and has received solidarity from Cuba. Pérez Mesa was also received by the Director of Protocol, Livit Mugejo, with whom she discussed the customary support provided to the Embassy in Harare in the performance of its diplomatic duties. The Ambassador was accompanied by Second Secretary Zailin Gaulhiac Moráguez.
