Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas visits hospitals in Freeport

THE BAHAMAS, December 22th, 2015. - Today the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, visited several public hospitals in Freeport, the second most important island of the Bahamian Archipelago.

Just a day after signing the collaboration agreement on health between Cuba and The Bahamas, the Ambassador exchanged views with managers and medical staff of Rand Memorial Hospital as well as other public clinics which will welcome the Cuban medical brigade in a few weeks.

The Ambassador was accompanied by the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in The Bahamas, Vanesa Ortega Guerrero, the Dr. Julio Castañer, Vice President of Business and Marketing to the Cuban Medical Services and the Dr. Clarina Núñez, official of the National Department of the Hospitals in Cuba, who are visiting the country.
