The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, participated in the opening of the personal exhibition of the Azeri national artist, Arif Huseynov, held at the Museum of the State Academy of Art of this Caucasian nation .
The Cuban diplomat congratulated the artist, who is also the president of the Azerbaijan-Cuba Friendship Association, and wished him on behalf of the Cuban people health and success in his personal and professional life.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministries of Education and Culture, as well as by the State Academy of Art of Azerbaijan and the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan.
The exhibition "75 and 75" presents 75 works, symbolically on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the artist.
Works by Huseynov are also shown at the National Museum of Art in Azerbaijan, the State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow, the State Gallery of Azerbaijan and private collections.
The circle of interests of Arif Huseynov is very broad. It successfully illustrates literary examples both classical and contemporary.
His series of paintings on national folklore, tradition and cultural life can be seen as a new and creative look at the ancient legends of Azerbaijan.
