THE BAHAMAS, 4th November, 2016. – As part of the Caribbean History course, the Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, lectured Bahamian students and teachers at Omega College about the History of Cuba.
At the meeting, the diplomat also provided information on current national developments and the measures implemented in Cuba in the context of the process of updating the economic model.
She also referred to the recent vote in the United Nations against the US blockade to Cuba and the need to lift it as an indispensable requirement for the normalization of the relations between the two countries and the full economic development of Cuba.
Answering questions from the audience about the Cuban reality, she highlighted the current state of bilateral relations between Cuba and The Bahamas and the areas in which both countries cooperate nowadays.
