Ankara, Turkey, September 31st, 2018. The Cuban ambassador to Turkey, Luis Alberto Amorós Núñez, personally congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the 96th anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day in Turkey, during the official ceremony for this occasion, held on the eve in the presidential complex located in the capital of the Eurasian state. On August 30th, 1922, took place a climactic battle that led to the creation of the Republic of Turkey.
The president seized the moment to highlight the pleasant memories of his visit to Cuba in 2015, invited by then Cuban president, Raul Castro Ruz, and to address other issues of bilateral interest. For his part, the diplomat also reiterated to the Turkish leader congratulations, on behalf of the Cuban authorities, for starting his new term as Head of State and wished him success.
