Cairo, April 26, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to Egypt, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, attended the mass held in the Church of St. Joseph in this capital on the occasion of the death of His Holiness Pope Francis.
After the death of Pope Francis on April 21, Egypt also joined the Mass of thanksgiving for his pontificate, attended by the country's authorities, religious leaders, representatives of the diplomatic corps and Catholic faithful residing in Egypt, to pay him well-deserved honor.
Pope Francis lived without distinction, without discrimination. He paid special attention to the marginalized, the vulnerable, migrants, children, the elderly, the excluded..., those who feel they do not fit in anywhere.
