Cuban Ambassador to Egypt visits Oncology Hospital in Luxor

Cairo, August 10, 2025. Cuban Ambassador to Egypt, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, visited the Shefa Al Orman Oncology Hospital located in the southern Egyptian city of Luxor.

During the tour of the facility, the Ambassador of the Greater of the Antilles was able to confirm that the hospital has advanced medical equipment and a highly qualified staff.

During the exchange with the directors of the medical center, the Cuban diplomat highlighted the progress achieved by Cuba in this specialty, as well as the development of new drugs to combat some types of cancer. He also proposed the idea of establishing cooperation mechanisms between Egyptian and Cuban hospitals to exchange knowledge and experiences in order to achieve a better attention to our peoples.

The Shefa Al Orman Oncology Hospital founded in 2016 is the only one of its kind in the South of the country and is positioned as one of the leading comprehensive medical facilities in the treatment of cancer in Egypt. The hospital offers a wide range of medical specialties in cancer treatment, including: medical oncology, radiation oncology, pediatric oncology and surgical oncology.
