Cuban Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker, held a meeting with the Director of International Affairs at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

Luxembourg, October 3, 2025. Cuban Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker, as part of her visit to Luxembourg, held a meeting with Ms. Cindy Tereba, Director of International Affairs at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

During the meeting, the Cuban Ambassador provided relevant information on the economic and social situation in Cuba.

It was essential to highlight the effects of the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba and the unjust inclusion of Cuba on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, which are unilateral coercive measures that affect the island's trade with other countries around the world.

The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce is an institution that promotes and fosters economic and trade relations between Luxembourg and other countries around the world. For this reason, topics of common interest were addressed, such as the identification of economic and commercial sectors that would allow for the promotion of relations between Luxembourg and Cuba in this area.

Likewise, business and investment opportunities that Cuba has to offer and that may be of interest to Luxembourg entrepreneurs, such as the Mariel Special Development Zone, were promoted.
