Luxembourg, October 1, 2025. Cuban Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker held a meeting with the Vice President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies, Mr. Mars Di Bartolomeo, deputy for the LSAP, as part of the meetings scheduled during her visit.
Silva Walker provided her interlocutor with an update on the economic and social situation in Cuba, highlighting the effects of the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba and the unjust inclusion of Cuba on the list of state sponsors of terrorism. The Vice President of the Luxembourg Parliament reaffirmed Luxembourg's support for the Cuban resolution calling for an end to the inhumane policy of blockade against the Caribbean island for more than 60 years.
Mr. Di Bartolomeo plays an important role in interparliamentary relations between Luxembourg and Cuba. On this occasion, the parties discussed the state of bilateral and parliamentary relations, as well as future steps to strengthen existing ties.
The meeting was an opportune moment to continue strengthening cooperation between the two parliaments.
