Cuban Ambassador exchanges with executives of the Caribbean School of Medical Sciences.

Kingston, Jamaica, 12 February 2020. Ambassador Inés Fors Fernández, Head of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica, had a fruitful exchange today with executives from the Caribbean School of Medical Sciences, Jamaica (CSMSJ) to explore the possibilities of collaboration between both institutions.

The meeting, which took place in a fraternal atmosphere, was attended by Mr. Richard Jones, Chairman of the Board of Governors of CSMSJ; Dr. Neville Graham, consultant surgeon and Dean; Dr. Lorenzo Gordon, Vice-dean, and other staff members of the school and the Embassy of Cuba.

The Caribbean School of Medical Sciences, Jamaica –whose faculty is pleased to include several Cuban and Jamaican professors graduated in Cuba– has in view to become one of the main institutions for training doctors and other health professionals in the Caribbean, committed to the creation of a competent workforce to face the challenges of 21st century medicine.
