Cuban Ambassador exchanges with the Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce of Jamaica

Kingston, Jamaica, 11 May 2022. Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez visited the Jamaican Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce on Tuesday afternoon, and met with its head, the Honorable Senator Aubyn Hill.

At the meeting, the Cuban diplomat and his counterpart discussed the possibilities of investment and bilateral trade that exist between Cuba and Jamaica, taking into account the strengths and comparative advantages of each country, and the challenges imposed by the US blockade on the activity external economy of the Greater Antilles.

The Ambassador took the opportunity to invite Minister Hill and a government and business delegation from Jamaica to the Expocaribe 2022 trade fair, which will take place in Santiago de Cuba from June 23 to 26.

Minister Hill, a graduate of Harvard University, has more than 35 years of work in the private sector, as well as extensive experience in international banking.
