May 18, 2022. - Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Anette Chao García, delivered a lecture on Cuba to Nigerian, Kenyan and Ghanaian students of the trade union members' course at the Amilcar Cabral Cadres School in Aburi, Ghana.
The event opened with African chants and songs that encouraged happiness, followed by cheers for today's Cuba, revolutionary and resilient as identified by the present. The session, which focused on the current situation of the Caribbean island, began with a discussion on war in a theoretical sense, moving on to the aggressions that Cuba has suffered in the more than 60 years of the Revolution. The blockade imposed by the United States was an essential part of the discussion, which was accompanied by the first part of the documentary “The War on Cuba”.
At the suggestion of the organisers, a video of the farewell to the ashes of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz was shown, which shocked all those present.
The Amilcar Cabral Cadres School is organised by the Socialist Movement of Ghana.
