Accra, March 12, 2025. - This morning, H.E. Julio Enrique Pujol Torres presented to the President of Ghana, H.E. Mr. John Dramani Mahama, the letters of credence which accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in the African country.
The solemn ceremony took place at the Jubilee House in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and other members of the government staff. On the Cuban side, the ceremony was attended by Consul Taís Hernández Garcés and the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Mr. Yamil Eduardo Martínez Marrero.
During the cordial meeting, the Cuban Ambassador expressed to the Ghanaian President his willingness to strengthen diplomatic relations of friendship and cooperation between both nations, while thanking the African people and state for their support to Cuba.
President Mahama, for his part, highlighted the historical ties that unite both nations and the support that the Greater of the Antilles has provided to Ghana, especially in the areas of health and human resources training.
