The Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, visited the headquarters of the Daily Graphic Newspaper where held a meeting with his Editor, Mr. Ransford Tetteh.
The Cuban Ambassador thanked Mr. Tetteh for the articles published about Cuba in the Daily Graphic during 2016, especially those related to the passing away of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro. The Ambassador made an explanation of the historic links between Cuba and Africa and ratified the Cuban commitment to the African countries and specifically with the Ghanaian people.
The Editor, who demonstrated being a well informed person on the Cuba-Ghana relationships and also in topics like the contribution of the Cuban doctors to the Ghanaian health sector and on the Cuban position in the international arena, explained the perspective to expand the activity of the newspaper and showed to the Cuban Ambassador the writing room of the Daily Graphic. During the meeting the editorrequested information about Cuba with the objective to be published in the pages of the newspaper.
The Daily Graphic is the newspaper with the largest circulation in Ghana, with a daily circulation of 150 thousand copies.
The Cuban Ambassador was accompanied in the meeting by Julio César Sánchez, First Secretary of the Embassy.
