Cuban Ambassador Highlights Investment Opportunities in Cuba at Auckland Business Event.

Auckland, April 29, 2025.- The Cuban Ambassador, Luis Ernesto Morejón Rodríguez, participated in the "Networking with Ambassadors" event hosted by the Latin America New Zealand Business Council (LANZBC), aimed at fostering economic and trade dialogue between Latin America and New Zealand. The event was held at the historic Northern Club in Auckland’s CBD and featured the Ambassadors of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and Peru.

During the exclusive working lunch, the Cuban Ambassador presented foreign investment opportunities in Cuba, highlighting key priority areas such as the biopharmaceutical industry, renewable energy, tourism, agribusiness, and information technologies. He also outlined recent legal reforms favoring foreign investment and shared details about projects included in Cuba’s Portfolio of Business Opportunities.

Supported by New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), Pure Pacific, and Aims Global, the event served as a valuable platform for New Zealand businesses to gain direct insights into trade and investment prospects with Latin America, while connecting with influential stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.

Cuba’s participation reaffirms the country’s commitment to strengthening international economic partnerships and engaging with the Asia-Pacific region through expanded trade and investment relations.
