The Ambassador of Cuba, Mr. Pedro Luis Despaigne González, was received by the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations of Ghana, Mr. Ignatius Awuah Baffour, with whom he discussed issues of bilateral interest.
The Cuban diplomat told the Minister the number of Ghanaian workers serving different functions in the Cuban Embassy on the basis of contracts which respect of the country´s Labor Law, as well as compliance with 100% of the Social Security payments established by the Ghanaian law.
It was also addressed the participation of a Cuban delegation led by the Minister of Labour and Social Security of Cuba at the next 106a session of the International Labour Conference / International Labour Organization (ILO) to be held in Geneva, Switzerland and the cooperation that both ministries could develop in the process of further tightening the relations between the two countries.
The Ghanaian Minister thanked the historical actions that Cuba has developed towards his people, highlighting the medical collaboration provided by the Caribbean country and the preparation of the Ghanaians human resources in Cuba. He also said the disposition of his country to maintain the historic levels of cooperation and exchange with Cuba in all spheres.
