For Small Island Developing States (SIDS) such as Cuba and The Bahamas, advancing food sovereignty and food security is a strategic priority in addressing global challenges. In this regard, solidarity-based cooperation, the exchange of knowledge, scientific innovation, and the strengthening of national capacities play an essential role in promoting more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient agrifood systems for the benefit of the well-being and development of our peoples.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to further strengthening bilateral ties and advancing regional integration.
