Jakarta, January 3rd- Mr. Andri Hadi, Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, received this morning in audience to Tania Velázquez López, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Indonesia, for the presentation of his copies of style.
After the brief protocol ceremony, which took place at the headquarters of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry, officials from both countries exchanged about the historical ties between the two nations.
Mr. Hadi conveyed to the Cuban Ambassador his wishes for success in the mission of representing the Caribbean island in the nation of Southeast Asia.
For its part, the Cuban diplomat referred to the fruitful political ties, to the support that both nations grant in multilateral issues, emphasizing the support that each year Indonesia offers to Cuba against the US blockade. She also undelined the need to work together to increase the economic-commercial and cooperation links, having as a framework the celebration this year of the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations.
In 2020 is also commemorated 60 years of the visit of Indonesian President Ackmed Soekarno to Cuba, the first Head of State to do so after the triumph of the Revolution.
