Cuban Ambassador to lay a wreath at Barbadian Remembrance Day

On November 30, 2017, the Cuban Ambassador Francisco Fernández, was invited to attend to the Remembrance Day Laying Wreath and Military Parade to remember Barbadian veterans of the two World Wars. An Interdenominational Service was held presided over by Acting Governor General, Sir Philip Greaves, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, Chief Justice, Sir Marston Gibson and Leader of the Opposition, Mia Mottley, will lay wreaths at the base of the Cenotaph followed by specially invited members of the diplomatic corps and other dignitaries. Armed units of the Barbados Regiment's Guard of Honour, the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Barbados Cadet Corps, the Barbados Legion, the Barbados Fire Service, the Barbados Prison Service, the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides Associations, the St. John Ambulance Association of Barbados and the Barbados Red Cross Association will be on parade. Various unarmed units including the Barbados Boy Scouts and Girl Guides also paraded.
