NASSAU, 16 May 2017.-The Cuban Ambassador in The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, paid a working visit to the island of Eleuthera. Mr. José Reinel García Sánchez, Liaison Officer for Cuban Teachers of the Ministry of Education of Cuba in The Bahamas accompanied her.
During their stay in the Bahamian territory, both officials had the opportunity to exchange with Eleuthera education managers and the five Cuban teachers who collaborate in the island, teaching the subjects of Automechanics, Electricity, Agriculture and Chemistry.
Nowadays, a total of 46 teachers are providing services in differents schools in the country, not only in Nassau, but also in other islands in the Bahamian archipelago such as Cat Island, Abaco, Andros, Mayaguana, Long Island, San Salvador and Freeport.
