Kuala Lumpur, May 16 - The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia denounced in a recent press conference aggressive escalation of the United States government against Cuba in order to bring the truth to the Malaysian public about what is happening in the country.
In her information to the press, the Cuban diplomat addressed the particularities of the Helms Burton Law and its objective of creating uncertainty among foreign investors interested in the Cuban market.
At the same time, he highlighted the extraterritorial scope of this law and how it affects the sovereignty of other states while causing shortcomings and suffering to the Cuban people.
The ambassador reiterated the call to the international community to denounce this legal monstrosity and not to remain impassive when with impunity legal means are used to create economic problems destined to overthrow governments.
The diplomat highlighted the inapplicability of the aforementioned law in Cuba and reiterated that there are guarantees for all those interested in doing business with Cuba.
Present at the press conference were journalists from the national press agency, BERNAMA, the newspaper The Star, the Financial Times and members of the friendship association with Cuba in the country.
