Islamabad, August 31, 2026. A delegation from the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) met with Ambassador Damián Cordero at the Embassy of Cuba in this capital.
The delegation, led by Dr. Muhammad Amir Malik, in charge of International Coordination, alongside Ms. Maryam Shafiq, Director of International Strategic Partnerships, and Mr. Syed Waqas, responsible for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the UN, exchanged views with the Ambassador of Cuba regarding their work as part of the Ministry's multilateral efforts with other nations in the fields of telecommunications and information technology.
The Cuban Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the update provided and commented on the positive relations maintained by both countries at both the bilateral level and in multilateral events related to this topic.Similarly, The Ambassador also provided a detailed explanation to the visiting delegation regarding the serious impact suffered by the Ministry of Communications of Cuba, stemming from the unjust and excessive increase of the multidimensional blockade by the U.S. government against Cuba, along with its negative consequences for the daily life of the island's entire population.
