Accra, August 24th, 2023 - The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Ghana, Anette Chao García, was welcomed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration by Mr. William Manful, Director of the Americas Bureau of the afore mentioned institution.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed issues of bilateral interest in order to deepen relations between the two states and looking for ways of diversifying the collaboration between both nations. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on December 23rd, 1959 and have been long-lasting and diverse. The permanent struggle of the island against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America has always counted on the support of Ghana, both at the multilateral and bilateral levels, for which Cuba is grateful.
The meeting was also favorable to inform the Ghanaian official about Cuba's actions as Chairman of the Group of 77 and China.
