Accra. 3 October. – On this date, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mr. Julio Enrique Pujol Torres, received at the premises of the Embassy the President of the Association of Cuban Graduates (ESBECAN), Mr. Jacob Sosi, together with members of the newly elected executive board.
The “Cubanitos” expressed their readiness to continue supporting the Embassy and the Cuban people, particularly in connection with the centenary of the birth of the Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro. The meeting also served to discuss initiatives to be undertaken in the immediate future, in which graduates of Cuban institutions would play a significant role.
For his part, the Ambassador provided an update on the situation facing the country in the wake of the implementation of the maximum pressure policy pursued by the Government of the United States and assured them that the doors of the Embassy would remain open to initiatives aimed at breaking the siege imposed on Cuba.
