Cuban Ambassador meets Philippine vice minister of foreign relations

Cuban Ambassador to the Philippines, Ibete Fernandez Hernandez, held a meeting with Philippine Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Enrique Manalo.

Mr. Manalo conveyed to the Cuban ambassador, on behalf of his the government, condolences for the damages that caused to Cuba the Hurricane Irma. It also expressed its willingness to develop bilateral relations and to increase coordination on multilateral issues.

For her part, the Cuban ambassador expressed the willingness of Cuba to work in the same direction and wish success to the government of Philippines in the celebration of the 31 ASEAN Summit that will take place in Manila on 13 and 14 November. Philippines is the chairman of ASEAN for 2017.
