Cuban Ambassador meets with the presidents of both chambers of the Jamaican Parliament.

Kingston, Jamaica, 13 May 2019. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, was received today at the headquarters of the Parliament of Jamaica by the Honorable Thomas Tavares-Finson, QC, JP, President of the Senate, and Pearnel Charles, MP, President of the House of Representatives.

In a cordial atmosphere, the Cuban diplomat and the Jamaican parliamentary leaders demonstrated the close bonds of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Jamaica and exchanged on various topics of regional and international bilateral interest.

The Ambassador of Cuba took the opportunity to thank the Jamaican Parliament for its support for the struggle of the Cuban people to lift the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba.

Last November, the Parliament of Jamaica approved, unanimously and for the tenth consecutive year, a motion condemning this unjust, extraterritorial measure.
