Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria Attends Session of Kaduna State Film Festival in Abuja

Abuja, February 5, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Nigeria, Her Excellency Miriam Morales Palmero, attended one of the sessions of the Kaduna State Film Festival, held in Nigeria’s Federal Capital, Abuja. The event formed part of the official program of the renowned festival, which celebrates the cultural richness and artistic diversity of Nigerian cinema.

During the session, two award-winning films were screened: Kaka and The Major—both powerful reflections of Nigerian history, identity, and traditions. The films were well-received by the audience and served as a showcase of the talent and creativity thriving within Nigeria’s film industry.

Ambassador Morales Palmero engaged in enriching conversations with directors, actors, producers, and other stakeholders from Nigeria’s cinematic sector. The event provided a valuable opportunity to explore avenues for cultural collaboration between Cuba and Nigeria and to share perspectives on the role of cinema in preserving historical memory and promoting cultural values.
