Abuja, January 28, 2025 – The Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, participated in the commemorative event of the 76th anniversary of India's independence, held at the headquarters of the High Commission of India in Abuja. The ceremony was attended by prominent authorities of the Nigerian government, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country and members of the Indian community residing in Nigeria.
During the event, Ambassador Morales Palmero conveyed on behalf of the Cuban Government and people her warmest congratulations to India for this historic anniversary, highlighting the ties of friendship and cooperation that unite both nations.
The celebration included official speeches, cultural presentations and a display of the historical and artistic wealth of India. The Ambassador had the opportunity to exchange views with Nigerian diplomats and senior officials on issues of common interest, reaffirming Cuba's commitment to integration and strengthening bilateral relations with India and Nigeria.
