Oslo, October 2, 2024. Along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps, the Ambassador of Cuba to the Kingdom of Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, attended the State opening of the 169th session of the Storting (the Norwegian Parliament).
The Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, handed over the Speech from the Throne to His Majesty the King Harald V, who read it. Through it, the Storting was informed about the Government's program for the year ahead.
Tore O. Sandvik, member of the Government as current Minister of Climate and Environment, had the responsibility of reading the State of the Realm Address, which was then presented to His Majesty the King by the Head of Government.
After receiving both speeches from the King, the president of the Storting, Masud Gharahkhani, pronounced his address as part of the ceremony. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
