Cuban ambassador participates in ceremony for the end of Ramadan in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, April 10.- The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, attended this Wednesday, April 10, the ceremony for the end of Ramadan, Aidilfitri, held at the Istana Negara National Palace, and presided over by His Majesty the Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, with his wife Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, was also present at the ceremony, and he spoke with the ambassadors and heads of mission present at the important traditional celebration.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the name given in Malaysia to the day of Eid al-fitr, a celebration for the end of the holy month of Ramadan, in which Muslims around the world fast from dawn to sunset.
