Oslo, May 6, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, responded positively to the invitation that was extended to her, as part of the accredited Diplomatic Corps, to participate at the National Conference of the Norwegian Labor Party, which took place from May 4 to 6, at the Oslo Congress Center.
The diplomat took part in the inauguration of the great event, in which she, together with the rest of the international guests, had the opportunity to closely follow the central speech, delivered by the Party leader and Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre.
On the previous day, the Ambassador, together with the other Heads of diplomatic missions, participated in a meeting in which Åsmund Aukrust, faction leader of the Parliament´s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense, along with the minister of Foreign Affairs, Anniken Huitfeldt, and the State Secretary, Eivind Vad Petersson, explained details of the program and offered information on the challenges being faced by the Party in the current national and international situation.
