The Cuban ambassador participates in a reception on the occasion of the solemnity of the apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Cyprus. 

Nicosia, Cyprus, June 29, 2026.- The Cuban ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, took part this Monday in a reception offered by the Apostolic Nunciature (Embassy of the Vatican City State) in Cyprus, on the occasion of the solemnity of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. 

During the celebration, the Apostolic Nuncio and Archbishop Giovanni Pietro Dal Toso highlighted the large turnout of the diplomatic corps accredited on the island, while also thanking the presence of the various religious denominations coexisting in Cyprus, friends, faithful, and representatives of the host government, coinciding happily for the celebration of such an important date for the Catholic Church, which emphasizes the mission of Saint Peter and Saint Paul as architects of charity and unity among the faithful. 

On behalf of the President of the Republic, the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus, Ms Lina Kassianidou, spoke, recognizing the excellent state of the diplomatic relations existing between the Holy See and her nation, whose expressions “continue to flourish.”
