Islamabad, March 30, 2026. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Damián Cordero Torres, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Carlos Aragón Gil de la Serna, the Spanish Ambassador, who also recently arrived in this capital. The introduction and exchange took place in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, in keeping with the culture and history that unite both countries. The Cuban ambassador expressed his gratitude for the support in the form of donations and supplies to the island through the Spanish international cooperation agency during such difficult times, as well as for the Iberian country’s annual vote against the U.S. blockade imposed on Cuba and its stance of not joining the warmongering rhetoric of the U.S. administration. The Spanish Ambassador appreciated the gesture and promised to maintain the professional and always necessary exchange.
