Bandar Seri Begawan, March 13 – The Ambassador of Cuba Ibete Fernández Hernández, presented to the Sultan of Brunei, Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'zzaddin Waddaulah the credentials that accredit her in the position before the Sultanate, with residence in Malaysia.
During the hearing, the Sultan sent greetings to Cuban President Raúl Castro and thanked Cuba for its willingness to contribute Cuban drugs and therapies to improve the health indexes of the Bruneian population suffering from diseases such as diabetes and cancer.
The ambassador on behalf of the Cuban government thanks for the traditional support of Brunei in the United Nations and in the ASEAN to the resolution against the blockade.
The ceremony took place in the Istana Nurul Iman, official residence of the head of state.
