Singapore, January 9, 2024.- This Tuesday at the Istana Presidential Palace, Ambassador Lisbet Quesada Luna, presented in a solemn ceremony the President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency. Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the Credential Letters that accredit you as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Singapore.
During the meeting, the President welcomed the Cuban diplomat and highlighted the solid and friendly relations between both countries. For her part, the Ambassador expressed satisfaction at assuming the new position and highlighted her commitment to promoting the good state of bilateral relations and diversifying existing cooperation.
Cuba and Singapore established diplomatic relations in 1997, extended with the opening, on November 4, 2015, of the Cuban Embassy in that City-State.
