Vientiane. April, 2022. Ambassador Enna Viant Valdés presented her Letters of Credence to the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Tongloun Sisoulith, accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to that brother country. On that occasion, she has conveyed the greeting of President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez.
During the warm meeting, the Cuban diplomat thanked the Lao leader for his firm position of the Lao government in denouncing the unjust economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba and the permanent support for the Cuban resolution in the United Nations Organization that advocates its elimination. Also it was recalled the historical and supportive character of the relations and brotherhood relations built between the leaders and peoples of both countries, in particular the imprint of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro.
