Cuban Ambassador received to Kebbi State Health Commissioner, Nigeria

 

NIGERIA, April 12, 2016. The Ambassador, Carlos Trejo Sosa, received the Health Commissioner of the State of Kebbi, in the Northeastern part of the country, at the Residence of the Cuba Mission in Nigeria.

The meeting took place in a cordial and respectful atmosphere, reflecting the bilateral ties between the two countries. The Nigerian representative expressed the interest of the State Governor in receiving the Cuban collaboration in the field of health and others.

The Ambassador gave an overview of Cuba's socio-economic indicators and of the continued economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government against the Cuban people, which also affects Cuba's capacity for international collaboration.
